WELCOME TO ROOM 113
HOME OF THE FABULOUS FROGS!
WOW- Preschool! Who is more excited, you or your child? Welcome to a thrilling year of learning and growing. My name is Christine Shaw and I will be your child’s teacher in Room 113. I have been teaching at Disney for over 25 years and have been here even longer than that as I am a graduate of Disney School. I am really looking forward to getting to know your child and engaging him/her in a wonderful year of learning. The other members of the teaching staff in the classroom are Alexis Schmitz, Kate Mitchell and Patricia Beaubien.
Preschool is a transition into independence. With help and support your child will become self-sufficient in following classroom routines. He/She will learn to make wise school choices such as appropriate classroom behavior and completing a wide variety of tasks independently. You will be amazed at what your child will be capable of by June.
You are probably anxious to know what your child will be doing during the day. A copy of our weekly schedule is attached. During these first weeks of school we will be spending time getting to know each other and our classroom procedures and routines. We will also be assessing some of your child’s skills in order to establish a good beginning place for reading and math activities for all students.
The children in Room 113 are lovingly referred to as the Fabulous Frogs.
